The Best Jennifer Ever

Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering - and it's all over much too soon. - Woody Allen

About Me

I think we all live many lives in our own time...and I am happily into my second or third. New directions give new perspectives...things that were impossible are now conquered. The past is gone, the future is unknown. Enjoy what you can, learn what you can, give what you can. Forget what you hate and cherish what you love."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" - Unknown author.

My Interests

Art - drawing, painting, design, mixed-media, photography - creative writing/poetry; music (playing/learning guitar and listening); outdoors (camping - OF COURSE - hiking, boating, swimming, whatever); being clever and out-drinking boys (though not necessarily at the same time).

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a unique perspective or intriguing ideas. Those who challenge conventionalism and are not afraid to look beyond what they are comfortable with. That's how we learn.

Music:

Rock predominantly...but really a little of everything. From AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera, and Sabbath, to Sia, Natalie Merchant, Alanis, Fiona Apple, YeahYeahYeahs, Tori Amos, and Michelle Branch, to Etta James, Al Green, and Fats Domino. That's what I call eclectic.

Movies:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (new one's cool, but the old one's better), A Clockwork Orange, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Thursday, Pulp Fiction, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Doom Generation, Memento, Gothika, A Beautiful Mind, anything with Jack Black or Will Ferrell.....RECENTLY....the Departed (fabulous),

Television:

Project Runway, Top Chef, Intervention, Flip This House...

Books:

Thomas Paine's Age of Reason, Religion For Dummies, Anthem..Ayn Rand..The Great Gatsby (and not just 'cause I live in Montgomery and every street is named after F. Scott Fitzgerald), Catcher in the Rye, On the Road (Jack Kerouac), Jane Eyre, Poe, Dean Koontz novels (ones that aren't TOO sci-fi), Hannibal, more to come I'm sure.

Heroes:

Myself, my daughter, my parents and my friends.
