On The Curb has been providing the very best of crowd-pleasing live jazz entertainment for almost 8 years. The group originally formed when Sylvester and Daniel joined forces while playing in Clayton High School's big band. Seeing the endless potential, Syl and Danny, along with several of their jazzmates, started a small jazz combo. Little did they know that soon they would be making history. Though young, they had the opportunity to showcase their talents throughout the St. Louis area. A highlight for the group was their performance at the Whitiker Jazz Festival held at the St. Louis Botanical Gardens.Although the members of the group have changed over the years, their consistently energetic ear-pleasing performances continue to be On The Curb's trademark. With the addition of young piano great, Lawrence Fields, the group has come to be known as one of St. Louis' premiere jazz quartets. Theo Harden's rock-solid bass grooves and magical solos truly make On The Curb's sound even more amazing. While the group got their start doing private performances, they can now be heard at some of St. Louis' top jazz venues. They continue to thrill private audiences as well with their brand of traditional jazz with a touch of new funk. Their music is not for the timid. But if you love great jazz played by great musicians then sit back, relax, and enjoy jazz On The Curb.
