Jerry Clavon Clark: Born June 27, 1972. Began to take interest in music at the age of nine, when I started playing the trumpet. By the age of 12, I my interest in music increased. For, now I wanted to explore vocal avenues. The very first solo I ever perfomed was Hello by Lionel Ritchie. The rush I felt being on stage was amazing.
It's like, at that precise moment, I came to life. The audience didn't even exist for me. My guides in music kept me focussed and provided me with the technical training needed to take things to the next level. I wasn't able to grasp reading music until my high school years. Before that, I had to rely on ear training, focussing on sound and pitch.
It has only been a few years, since I decided to use my middle name as my stage call. Now, though I have not done any professional performances, music is a part of me. In fact, an extension of my very being. Lately, I have been reaquainting myself with writing lyrics. I am happy to say, it's like second nature to me. I'm ready for the next step, be it collaboration lyrically or vocally.
