The Jack-Knives are a four-piece Blues/Rock ‘n’ Roll band from Glasgow.Formed in 2004, the band have quickly established themselves on the Glasgow music scene. Following their debut gig at King Tuts supporting The Paddingtons, the lads soon followed up with support slots with The Soho Dolls and The Mystery Jets. Early 2006, the band were invited to play the "Levi's Ones to Watch" event alongside The Dykeenies, and saw out that year at King Tuts playing with Glasgow band The Ronelles and Dundee's The View. The Jack-Knives are regularly gigging on the Glasgow circuit headlining their own gigs at places such as ABC2 and The Arches, as well as playing other leading venues in Glasgow and the UK. The band have also recently returned from the US were they played a headline show at the IPO Festival in New York City.Their love of the early 60's periods of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones as well as The Who, Bob Dylan, The Faces and more recently The Libertines, have seen the band firmly plant their influences into their songs, whilst aiming to craft a sound, which can be instantly recognisable as their own.
