Drury Lane

About Me

Why is it that music
At its most beautiful
Opens a wound in us
An ache a desolation
Deep as a homesickness
For some far-off
And half-forgotten country
Anne Porter
Drury Lane reside in a little town on a little island in the Southern Hemisphere. The three school friends have grown up playing music together. Lunchtimes were spent sheltering from the storms in the school music room playing jazz standards from another time and another land.
On cold winter mornings when the rain doesn't stop, when the sound of breaking waves echoes along the coastline, when the mountain above them is covered in a sheet of snow, drury lane play their songs.
And whether it is time to brew another coffee or crack another beer, the music plays, the records spin, on and on, and the weather clears and the days and months and years change and the music still plays.
Drury Lane still haven't found a more pleasant way to pass the time. I guess there is just something special about three chords, a few words, and a melody.Discography:
