I'm Teddy Wayne Smith and I live in Pike County, Kentucky (the largest county east of the Mississippi River). I'm an Artist and Author. I’m in a wheel chair and I have a muscle disease which basically just means I’m not strong enough to walk – but that hasn’t stopped me from living a full active life. I'm a graduate of Pikeville College where I have an Art degree, and also a study in Business and Education. During my final year in college my first book was published which is titled, “Teddy – Finding LIFE in a World of Destructionâ€. Directly after graduating from college, I started my own art career. That’s my first love – art! I love to paint, I work mostly in oils and watercolors but I enjoy other mediums such as pencil, clay, and wood burning. I'm also an animal lover and I currently have a dog which is a creme colored Chow named Lily and four chinchillas. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I’m a really big fan of Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. I got to meet Dolly for the first time on October 25, 2005 in Danville, Kentucky where I gave her a painting of her with her belated parents. She has been so inspirational in my life and her music has gotten me through some very rough patches in my life's journey. I met Reba on Nov. 20, 2008 and it was a dream come true. I'm really glad that I get to share my journey with you!
I have a website for my art and writing career at www.teddywaynesmith.com
