Born and raised in New York City, composer Evan Eder grew up playing classical piano and guitar. Growing up in Manhattan, he was deeply influenced by the diversity of musical styles he was exposed to in his urban environment.
Starting in the early 90s, Evan traveled all over Asia and, in particular, India where for five years, he honed his ear and performance skills creating and performing with indigenous musicians who he met on his travels.
Returning to the U.S., Evan settled in Los Angeles where he currently composes and resides. His current musical focus and intention is to blend world ethnic music with cutting edge sonic textures to create his unique style deeply hypnotic and melodic song-scapes with a distinctly Indian influence. His current recording project is an Indian themed CD, entitled V-Ness, which combines classical Indian female vocals with modern beats and musical textures. Evan continues to create music utilizing the latest in sample processing and digital audio technology.
Kamini::Born in a family of musicians in a small town called Nagda ,(MP) India, Kamini started learning music from her mother Smt. Uma Natarajan , who is a trained Carnatic as well as Hindustani Vocalist , from the famous gwalior gharana. At the age of 10 , gave her first public performance. Learnt Hindustani vocal music for 9 years from Shri Rajeev Sharma, a sur-shringar award winner and a High B grade artist from AIR Indore. Also learnt under Pt. Krishna Kant Shukla , who laid the foundation of gayaki . Learnt Bhajans from Pt, Purushottam Jalotaji in Mumbai .
After coming to Los Angeles in December 2002, she has been recording with Evan.
