STORY
The Story is about Love. The Story is about Dance. And going through a life of dance to realize love.
The Story begins in Zürich, Switzerland with two very different and young personalities. Kimberly the arrogant, stuck-up, bratty little girl, and Jonathan the very sweet, quiet, shy little boy. Both in love with one another, but neither one can reach into ones heart to tell the other how he or she truly feels.
Then their lives go separate ways. 10 years later they meet again in Los Angeles at an audition for a very prestigious dance company, American School of Dance (ASD). Now Kimberly and Jonathan are all grown up. And the once arrogant loud mouth Kimberly Meier, is now the sweet, friendly, caring Kim, as too the once quiet shy little Johnathan Zimmer, now grows up to be the big mouth, macho, over-confident, John “The Mannâ€.
During the audition, not knowing that she was once the former love of his life, John tries to put his slick, smooth, and macho moves on Kim. But is quickly dismissed by Kim, who is unaware that this very over-confident egotistical dancer, was once the quiet little boy from Switzerland.
But not only does fate bring KIm and John back into each others lives, but also one very selfish deceitful dancer, Brenda, who will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Now Brenda is always with her side-kicks Donna (agrees with whatever she says), Tanya (the typical stupid Blond girl that just does get it), and Antione (the jealous, obnoxious, and overally loud homosexual), and when these four get together, there’s no telling what is in store for ASD.
Then there is Sarah, the girl with no friends, whos only dream is to be accepted into ASD and perform at the Dancers Showcase. She meets Kim at the audition, and they hit it off really well, until Brenda and her entourage step-in, and convince Kim otherwise. They decietfully tell Kim that Sarah is a selfish, backstabbing, two-faced, liar, who will do anything to get what she wants. And of course, Kim unsure and naïve, wanting to be in the in crowd, believes Brenda, and leaves Sarah to wish once again for someone to call, a friend.
Later, Brenda and her entourage befriend Kim. And start to show her the Hollywood glamour life of a dancer, by taking her to the hottest club in Los Angeles, “The Red Dragonâ€. At the club Brenda starts to take an interest in John. But to her dismay, John is still looking to get the hook up with Kim. And after a few smooth lines and a little shake and bake on the dance floor, Kim starts to realize that John isn’t so bad after all. Of course that didn’t sit pretty with Brenda, and this is when all the twisting and turning begins….
…Do Kim and John finally dance into each others hearts? Do they finally confess there true feelings for each other? Does Sarah finally turn her dreams into reality? Or does Brenda and her entourage, with their “two face waysâ€, end up getting what they want?
In this very funny, emotional, and entertaining streetdance musical, you will see how Love and Dance, create an unexpected life for Kim and John.
