Declan Gallagher is a semi-professional filmmaker and former immigrant to London, UK, originally from a gaeltacht (Irish/gaelic speaking community) in the north western town of Gweedore, Co.Donegal, Ireland and is based in North Co.Dublin, Ireland.
He is influenced by the theory of Laura Mulvey, Andre Breton, Frued, Jung and by directors such as Stanley Kubrick, Nicolas Roeg, Charlie Chaplin and Robert Altman.
He was involved in a cross border program, uniting catholics and protestants at the nerve centre in Derry and the International Baltic Academy in the Danish island of Bornholm in 2005.He is currently involved in making music video's for the 3 piece electro/acoustic band, CadaTharla amongst other bands.
