I trained at The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art (Oxford Uni). Graduated in 1992. I currently run a successful studio in the Midlands and have worked with high profile clients in the music industry.
I have exhibited throughout Oxford and the West Midlands, futures shows to be announced. Inspiration comes from the beautiful, etherial and the personal. To capture or create an essence otherwise lost in the everyday mass media bombardment.
I'm currently working on a new series of 12 paintings based around photographic montages of self portraits. My work has evolved from the 'found' to the 'selected' and now to the 'created'. My aim is to create objects that go beyond a selected pictoral representation, yet have no specific narrative - to work first on the emotion and then leak back into fact, this work is in oil on canvas to retain a time based hand mastered work.
