About Me
Born as Keith Allen Brown on March 29 1986, KB began his life engulfed in great music. Being forced to listen to such greats such as Jodeci, Boyz 2 Men, Tevin Campbell, and many other early 90’s R & B groups, KB fell in love with music. At age 6 he began to take piano lessons unwillingly. Shortly after grasping the basics, he soon began mimicking mainstream songs from artists such as N Sync, Nelly, and many others by playing their tunes on the piano. After re-enacting many hit tunes on the piano, KB was inspired to make a hit of his own.
Unfortunately for KB, music was not his only interest. He was a neighborhood superstar at the early age of 9 in basketball, baseball, and football. KB played on some of the top basketball and baseball teams in Midwest. His love for music was suddenly overshadowed by a dream of becoming a professional athlete.
During his early High School days at Hazelwood East High, KB’s oldest brother bought him a keyboard as a testament of faith on his abilities. KB could now re-enact some of the hottest instrumentals from his favorite producers Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, and Mannie Fresh and make them sound professional. As a quick learner, KB began making his own beats at a high rate. His non-stop work ethic and desire to make a global hit had KB working non-stop day after day until his goal had been reached. His philosophy while making beats was “Album tracks can be made AFTER hits!†This philosophy gave KB the desire to make every single beat as a potential hit. His knack for hit music inspired him to make not only hip-hop beats, but also country, hard rock, r & b, and pop.
As a senior in high school, KB was known as more than just an athlete. His affiliation with local rap group 3-0 (Thirty Boyz) gave KB fame and recognition as one of the hottest unknown producers in the country.
Shortly after leaving his rap group, KB began to focus on his solo career as not only a producer, but also an artist. His intense drive to become a global superstar inspired him to make songs that EVERYBODY could love. By making songs that include Hip-Hop, Pop, R & B, Country, and Rock, KB had his mind set on not only being a Hip-Hop star, but being a MUSIC mogul. His smooth style and charismatic swagger helped to lead the charge.
Starting in 2005 KB started doing local performances in many local teen clubs such as, The Palace, The Spotlight, Club Legit, and many others. His quickly gained support and attention from St. Louis as a “do-it-all†act. His cool-calm but energetic style over bangin’ beats quickly began to rise in the streets of St. Louis. With KB still focused on his main goal of being a global superstar, he continued to progress.
In 2006, KB decided to make nothing but club hits. His drive to make a club hit landed him with several hits that would ensure his longevity in music. His mix between club music, love music, and fun music that many different ages and demographics can love gives KB the tools he needs to become his childhood dream……not only a music mogul, but a global superstar.
