I am here for Friends

About Me

I work in the wonderful world of IT - no, it really is wonderful; I've always been into technology and now I get paid for it which is pretty lucky IMO.
I like to meet new people (sometimes I take things too seriously so people who'll tell me to shutup and lighten up from time to time are good in my book!) I also enjoy travelling and love music - I'm mostly into rock and metal but I listen to various different genres - if I like it I'll listen to it, but I like bands/artists that have something to say or are doing something a bit different
I try to stuff as much into life as possible; we are nothing but the sum of our experiences and knowledge - I'm constantly trying to learn new things or studying for one exam or another - I'm currently studying with the OU and working on other certifications in relation to my job. Outside of this I do a bit of rock climbing - though this is really just an excuse to go to the pub after spending an hour looking serious whilst standing next to a crag, I also go to the gym, go to gigs etc, etc.....
I like to think I am a decent person and know my own mind, certainly I always try to "do the right thing", though occassionally life has a way of surprising you and showing you you're not the person you think you are. But I suppose this has the benefit of making me less judgemental and more open to new ideas than I used to be.
I often look for the hidden meaning and usually manage to miss the plainly obvious.
I find random things incredibly funny: Injections are Fun
My claim to fame is that I once nearly ran over Jimmy Saville!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People with similar tastes in music.

People with different interests who I can learn stuff from

People who are good fun, but who also know that life is more than just a series of blurred, drunk weekends strung together by 5 days of boredom
