Hi there,
I..m a 40 year old house music addict,(.that only plays vinyl.)..and have been dj-ing since 1983..I started off my music career in london playing electro..hip hop and slicing breaks alongside soon to be DMC world champion.."DJ POGO" and co.
Not only was i dj-ing back then..i was also breakdancing too..with possibly the best dancers in the uk.(Live 2 Break,Jedi Crew,The London Allstars, and my own troop called Street Force)..I was well into the graffiti scene also..gettin up all over london, mainly taggin, as i wasnt that great an artist to do my own pieces, although i did get involved in a couple of pieces,..In 1986 i started getting into house music..And by 1989 i was playing at some of londons finest house music clubs..Dance Party..at the Arena in harringey,and.Labrynth..in wood green..(before the days of dalston)..and loads of illegal raves..boat partys on the thames and a couple of pirate radio stations too..In 1990 i played at a KISS FM gig in Norbury(London) where i blew the set up..literally!. much to the amazment of colin dale n co.
It was in 1991 when i took a break from dj-ing for a while..i started a family and moved out of london to sussex.(I now have 2 wonderful sons Daniel 16..and Ryan 12)
In 1997 i was back..Now playing Hardhouse and Trance..!Then i started my own event in sussex called STEAM..where i got DJ SY to play his first ever trance set in the south of england...Unfortunatley the club closed in 2000..But i continued to play at smaller events around the south (Including PHASE 2 on Hastings pier playing a Hardhouse/Hardstyle set alongside Lisa PinUp).until 2002..And then i got a part time job working in my local record shop PURE VINYL in Eastbourne,as sales manager and helped them develop into one of the souths leading record stores..It was then..when i got my big break playing at the Marina Pavillion in Hastings..for LA-CHAMBRE-MAGIQUE..for which i owe many thanx to my manager & dj partner- Bruce..aka..DJ Tools)..who invited me to join him and play my first ever Tribal and Progressive house set..On my first night there we rocked the club so hard that we flew into DJ magazines top 5 nights out in sussex..and getting the biggest crowds in Hastings since Bedrock,(on Hastings pier)..I continued to play there until 2005 when the venue closed.. I was at this time, considered to be one of the best tribal house dj..s in the south of england..and had quite a large fan base...
So if you are a promoter and you are looking for a dj that CAN actually mix (only vinyl though)and put on a show for the crowd, which is more than most djs do these days (rather than just standing there looking bored at a laptop),,then get in touch.
