SHAPE

Shape is a laboratory for electronic sonorities created by two independent Italian producers. The first album “Under the skin”, out in October 2007, was thought as a way to express through music a free interpretation of Michel Faber's homonymous novel.
Thanks to the collaboration with the videomaker Hermes Hem Mangialardo, the videoclips for “Under the skin” first singles immediately started to be shown on the main musical Italian TV channels, winning many awards for electronic and digital arts all over the world. The single “Radiocar” [10-9 remix] has been on the international All Music chart for six weeks, with such artists as Fatboy Slim – Jamiroquai – Junior Jack and many more.
Shape live performances are characterized by a hybrid approach, mixing dj-setting with real analog synthesizers played on stage, and enriched with many samples created in real time and taken from different musical genres. This original and distinctive idea of performing allowed them to win the M.E.i. 2007 award for best electro performance.
At the moment Shape is working on several remixes for many Italian artists , waiting for their second album to come out in 2009. Download "Under The Skin" (Shape, 2007)
