About Me

Dave Kirk is a 25 year old folk singer, based in Kentish Town, London. Whilst at Oxford University between 2002 and 2005, he fronted the Oxford-based rock act The Seventh Level. Following this, during a two year period spent at Edinburgh University in 2006-2007, he struck up a a strong friendship with collaborator and guitarist Mikael Barton and focused more on acoustic/folk music. Available on this site are 4 songs from the Shoreline Sessions Demo(2007), recorded in Leith, copies of which are available on request.A Member of the International Guild of Songwriters and Composers, his recent recordings have brought some significant results in the UK Songwriting Contest (BRIT/BBC) for two years in a row, in Folk, Adult Contemporary and Lyric categories.Dave spends much of his free time writing music, and plays gigs/open mics in the London/Bucks/Edinburgh area.
