Hi, This is the long overdue official myspace page for Voodoo, a clubnight which is held in the basement of Retro Bar, Sackville Street, Manchester City Centre, on the last Friday of every month! The story so far... Rising from the ashes of the Voodoo Lounge (1999 RIP) we began to spawn and regrow in the basement of Retro Bar, paving the way for Sin City and many other clubnights along the way. 8 years on, and now well established we play a heady mix of Punk, Rock 'n' Roll, 60s Garage, Exotica, Detroit & New York Cool and more! With live bands to boot!
PLEASE NOTE: The venue only houses a high quality vocal PA which incudes - Mackie SA 1530z High Definition Active Cabs, 1400 Watt per side. 2 Wharfdale EVPX ceiling-mounted monitors. 6 Shure SM58 Mics. 1 Samson 500 Watt Sub-Woofer. - Therefore all bands need to supply their own instruments & backline.
ALL OUR BANDS RECIEVE A FEE, BEING IN BANDS OURSELVES WE STRONGLY OPPOSE THE PAY TO PLAY SYSTEM!
