About Me

John Parkinson is a 25 year old that has loved photography his whole life. As a kid, John recalls his father taking photographs of him and his brother racing BMX and many other events. He loved looking back on those photographs and remembering what great times they were. Growing up, John always loved taking his father's camera and capturing pictures of anything and everyone. With that said, John 's passion of photography came from photographing his favorite sport, motocross.John started his photography career in 2003, when he began to photograph the sport of motocross for PanicRev.org. Soon after he started shooting for PanicRev, he realized once again how much he loved to have a camera in his hands and begin to photograph everything in sight. After awhile at the track, people started to take notice of John 's photography and started to ask him to take photographs for them. He was asked by Amateur MX magazine to be a contributor to their magazine. From there, John got a job with Final Lap Magazine as the assistant editor along with lead photographer. John spent 4 years with Final Lap before deciding to go his own way with his photography.Since John 's time at Final Lap, he has continued his work in the motocross industry by providing numerous images to major motocross magazines/websites like Racer X, Motocross Action, Transworld Motocross, Vurb Moto and Vital MX. Not to mention, he also provided a number of images in catalogs and advertisements for MSR, Answer Racing, Pro Taper, Fox, Thor, Fly Racing, Troy Lee Designs, Fox Shox, American Suzuki, Kawasaki, and many other companies. Along with working in the motocross industry, John has begun his journey in portrait and wedding photography. He looks forward to growing this aspect of his love for photography.Like a kid looking back at the photos his father took of him and his brother, John wants to help you hold on to those memories forever as if the moment was frozen in time. websites.
