The musical uniqueness of the Zach Rock Band began to take shape early on and it was evident that their sound would continue to evolve with each passing gig. Little did they know, in just four short years they would record an EP ("Experiences") as well as the full-length debut album, "The View From Here," which would help to build their tightknit grass-roots following throughout the midwest and northeast regions of the country.Known for their energetic and audience-involved live performances, the band has played hundreds of shows spawning dozens of venues throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia and has shared the stage with major-label recording artists such as The Verve Pipe, Ben Jelen, The Clarks, and Tony C and the Truth as well as regional and soon to be national favorites Kate Voegele, Red Wanting Blue, Good Brother Earl, Via Sahara, and Empathy, to name a few. The band is also host of the annual summertime music festival, 'Flip Flop Fest'.Their sound, extremely unique in it's own world and anchored by the percussive and handy guitar work of Zach Rock, has drawn evident comparisons to the Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., and John Mayer. Lead vocals, which are also handled by Zach Rock, often warrant the complimentary comparison to Counting Crows frontman, Adam Duritz.One local publication calls the band, "Self-aware and witty!" while another adds, "The band displays a charming mixture of stage maturity and unabashed youthfulness..."Whatever the case, there's something for everyone within the ZRB so come check these guys out this summer and see for yourself!
