Wetter Than Seattle

"Wetter Than Seattle" from Pohnpei, Micronesia got its name one day while we were covering Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" while it was pouring down rain in this, the third rainiest place on the face of the earth. We have existed in one format or another on the island for five years. Guitarist Bill Jaynes is a founding member, Bassist Steve "Punk is Wasted on the Young" Finnen came along a year later, Self taught drummer, Nigel Jaynes has been with the band for two years, Vocalist Doug Hastings started with the band a few months ago. We have one CD entitled "Got Angst" - 9 tracks with 7 originals. Our music covers styles as diverse as the Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Van Halen, Creed, and Metallica with just a bit of a Southern edge.Wetter Than Seattle plays frequently at The Rusty Anchor.
