About Me

My name is Erica. I grew up in a small New England town from the cold ass state of Maine (Old Town to be exact). For those of you who don't know where that is...look as far east on the map as you can...but don't go to Canada. Bingo! Found it, didn't ya?! I have lived most of my life in Maine and have also had the pleasure of being a member of the Maine Army National Guard for 14 years, the last seven of which as a Blackhawk Pilot. Sweet, huh?! I think so! LOL! Yes, I have been across the big pond and played in the world's largest sand box...Iraq. I flew medevac for a year in both Iraq and Kuwait from March 2003 to March 2004. It was a great experience but I am certainly glad to be home in the good ole U.S. of A! I now find myself deep down in cajun country here in Louisiana. I work for a civilian helicopter company called Air Logistics. I fly offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and I love it. I can't believe they pay me to fly these fun machines. It truly is awesome. My greatest hope is that I have made a difference in this world and to be the best person I can be. I strive to be someone my family and friends can be proud of. In the meantime, I am having one hell of a time meeting new people and trying my best to live life to it's fullest!

My Interests

Flying, flying, flying is my biggest passion. I also love traveling, snow skiing, fly-fishing, working out, hiking, canoeing, going to the movies, and mostly hanging out with family and friends. Experiencing something new and adventurous is also great! Having a few drinks with friends doesn't hurt either.

I'd like to meet:

People who can be honest and respectful, but who also know how to have fun and just be themselves. (I think I may have met that person just recently). Being true to yourself should be your number one quality. I'd also like to meet people who don't run in the other direction when they are confronted with someone who loves and cares about them. And of course a few Rockstars wouldn't hurt!

Music:

Classic Rock is my ultimate favorite, but I also like alternative rock (Breaking Benjamin, Nickleback, Angels and Airwaves, etc), some easy listening (Norah Jones, Sara McLachlin, etc), on occasion some hip hop (Gwen Stefanie, Black Eyed Peas, etc) and of course lets not forget anything from the 80's and some metal to boot!

Movies:

My favorite is Action flicks, but I am a sucker for chick flicks too. Favorites include: Sweetest Thing, Goonies, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Mummy-both one and two, Lord of the Rings, the Die Hard Trioloy, and all four Lethal Weapons. I've been getting into some Classic films more recently.

Television:

Don't get to watch much of it, but I love Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. I'm a huge CSI fan, the original is the best, Grey's Anatomy, Desparate Housewives, and my new favorite sitcom...How I Met Your Mother.

Books:

Anything by James Patterson, but I love suspense thriller kind of books. Spreading my wings a bit more and reading some WWII biographies.

Heroes:

My 18 year old cousin Blake whom I lost recently to an illness he had been fighting since October. He was the ultimate fighter. I love you and miss you tremendously Blake!
