Dj Jeff -Beatmaker-Producer-EngineerDj Jeff"s musical career began in 1998 when he began making beats out of the garage of his mothers home. It was kind of a joke when people from the
neighborhood began calling him Dj Jeff (My beats werent that nice back then,
but as my skills began to grow people began to take me more seriously)says
Dj Jeff (Born Jeffrey Simmons).
The turning point came when,determined to break into the business ,he began
hanging around Top Notch studios .There he met experienced producers
and musicians who forced him to take his music to another level.
In 2001 he was called upon by MWDB Records in OHIO as producer,&
engineer, he later became executive producer and part owner of the company .but beats was and will always be DJ Jeffs main focus. A familiar face on the music scene DJ Jeff is destined to become on of the music industries hottest producers asked what his goal is in music? "my goal is just to keep doing it until until I become one of the best" , "even if I never make another dollar ,at it i'll still be doin it because I enjoy doin it. "Making beats comes naturally to DJ Jeff and one thing thats has been consistent in his career is that the artists' have always loved his beats many of his beats are a direct result of the emotions that come from his heart and he believes that "if you follow your heart you cant go wrong " he also encourages the artist to stay positive, "to be on a record and speak only about the negative things is like saying there is no good left in the world" ,true art should reflect life both good and evil, so if an arist is puting out too much negativity then he is expressing life as he sees it and not as it really is , in other words i refuse to believe that there is no good left in the world because when that day comes its over for all of us.
