J esus, Son of God Eternal
E verlasting Lord is He,

S ought us, brought us victory.

R uler of the whole creation
I ntercedes and gives us grace,
S aves us from sin's condemnation,
T ruly worthy of all praise!

God is Love, and His love is very
different from human love.
God's love is unconditional,
and it's not based on feelings
or emotions.He doesn't love us because
we're lovable or because we make
Him feel good; He loves us
because He is love.
He created us to have a loving
relationship with Him, and
He sacrificed His own Son
(who also willingly died for us)
to restore that relationship.

God is our hope and promise
He is in control and He does perform miracles
We are part of His family and He does love us
Even when we are in serious trouble
we do not need to be afraid, but just trust Him
He is concerned about our daily needs
as well as our problems.
He can see the big picture and knows
what is best for us.
We need to rest in Him, obey Him, and seek
His will daily through prayer
and reading the scriptures
God looks at our hearts.
Our problems can bring us closer
to God and heal our hearts
so we can reflect His light
and love to others.

TEACH ME HOW TO PRAY-JASON UPTON

Please teach me, Lord ... I want to know Exactly how to pray. I need some words Which ones are right? Please tell me what to say.

I've bowed my head I have knelt down, But ... should I be upright? I've closed my eyes, I've raised my hands, Or ... should I fold them tight?

Do I stand up? Should I sit down? Dear Lord ... what do you like? Are lights turned on Or are they off? Maybe ... candle light?

Wear my glasses? Take them off? Be at my desk or table? Should I whisper? Speak out loud? Do I quote the Bible?

What do you think About the time? Do You prefer the dawn? Should I pray fast, Or keep it slow? Better short ... or long?

I'm new at this What are the rules? I want to do it right. How do I know You'll even hear That I am in Your sight?

And while I sat there quietly, Waiting for some sign, I heard a gentle voice say, "Oh, dearest child of mine ... Do you think I really care About the time of day, Or whether you are standing up, Or kneeling when you pray?"

"I don't care about your posture, Or about the place you choose; Just open up your soul to me, I have no other rules. Tell me what is in your heart, And tell me what you seek; Tell me of your sorrows, And of those things that made you weak."

"Speak to me in private About what concerns you most; I know about your good deeds ... You have no need to boast. My child, you don't need lessons, Just talk to me each day; Tell me anything you want, dear child, Anyone can pray."

Sólo si seguimos a Cristo de todo corazón y le confiamos en todo como nuestro salvador viviente, podemos desarrollar un carácter que se asemeje al suyo y estar así preparados para su segunda venida. «Este es el pacto que haré con ellos después de aquellos días, dice el Señor: Pondré mis leyes en sus corazones, y en sus mentes las escribiré.» Heb. 10,16 (compare Jer. 31,33).
Seguir a Cristo significa hoy para nosotros estudiar su vida en las Sagradas Escrituras y obedecer a sus palabras.
Entonces el Espíritu Santo producirá en nosotros el mismo efecto que produjo en Pascua cuando la gente exclamó: «Qué haremos?» y la respuesta de Pedro fue: «Arrepentíos y bautícese cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesucristo para perdón de los pecados.
La ley de Dios nos muestra como un espejo nuestra contaminación con el pecado.
Cristo desea lavarnos mediante su sangre expiatoria. Allí entonces nace amor en el ser humano correspondiendo al amor de Dios. Jesús dijo sobre la pecadora: sus muchos pecados le son perdonados, porque amó mucho.
Nosotros le amamos a él, porque él nos amó primero. Pues este es el amor a Dios, que guardemos sus mandamientos; y sus mandamientos no son gravosos.
Del amor a Cristo surge la fuerza divina de vencer el pecado. «Si me amáis, guardad mis mandamientos. Y yo rogaré al Padre, para que esté con vosotros para siempre: el Espíritu de verdad.
