Mark Ballew

Prior to spending 8 years with Humble Pie, Mark Ballew had already established himself as one of the premier "power rock vocalists" from the North Texas area by the 1980's. Mark played extensively with several successful Texas bands - most notably RIO, SEELY ASTON, THE LEE PICKENS GROUP, D.O.M., and EASTER ISLAND. Over the years, Ballew's dynamic and versatile vocal abilities have been compared to everyone from Steve Marriott - to Bob Seger.

After taking a few years away from music, Mark Ballew has returned with a passion, joining forces with some of Texas' most prominent players on a brand new project. /p Ballew is in the studio to recording new tracks for his new CD.

Musicians on the new CD by Ballew include: Texas guitar legend Buddy Whittington (John Mayall's guitarist) is featured, with Charlie Stephens on bass (formerly with Stevie Ray Vaughn & Blackbird, Delbert McClinton, Jerry Lynn Williams, Leon Russell), and Mike Gage (formerly with Bugs Henderson, and currently working with John Nitzinger) on drums.
Mark Ballew is a talented singer/songer writer and he has surrounded himself with some great musicians on this newest CD to once again show what great music this talented musician/songwriter can produce.
