Born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts, Sean McManus began his
music career at a young age being frequently caught banging away on the living
room piano before he was even walking. By the age of 5, Sean was already composing
several works that impressed his first piano teacher, who immediately saw his
natural talents, but felt he needed to learn the structured disciplines of classical
music. Feeling limited and uninterested by the strict rules of classical music,
Sean quit his formal classical training after only 2 years to pursue music composition
on his own.
