So my interests change from week to week, but there are some constants. I'm a freelance writer so books, reading, and writing are high interests. Video games mean recreation means fun so I play a lot of Sims, a lot of WOW, and a lot of Wii. Music and movies are always constants. But my current top interests are wedding planning, exploring my new surroundings (just moved), and naked monkeys ..... wait, scratch the last one.
Anybody who would like to talk or any long lost friends out there who I've lost connection to. I'm sure there are lots of general smartasses like me out in the world. Wanna chat?

My favorite artist is Jamie Cullum - haven't heard of him? Well you just haven't been enlightened yet. I can't really say I have any other outstanding faves save for Coldplay. I like mainstream and not so mainstream so I won't diss your music preferences if you don't diss mine. I grew up in Nashville, TN so while I don't personally like country I maintain a profound respect for it. Oh, and J-pop would be my current addiction.
It would take a good week to type out all my favorite movies. I love movies from our Asian neighbors and in particular anime. But I love what the good ol' US of A has produced too. Some of my faves: Spirited Away, V for Vendetta, Serenity, Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl, The Big Lebowski, Voices from a Distant Star, The Place Promised to us in our Early Days, Wonderful Days, Hero, LOTR, O Brother Where Art Thou, Moulin Rouge, Seabiscuit ............................................. I got a lot more, just ask me. I don't have a particular affection for horror - I'm a wimp. But I did like 28 Days Later.
Here are my top 5: The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Heroes, No Reservations, and Whose Wedding is it Anyway? These are shows I cannot live without... and horse racing.I get my anime online so it doesn't really count as TV.Some honorable mentions (things I watch when they're on): Mythbusters, Smallville, Gotta Get It, How Do I Look, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, The Soup, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, Planet Earth, Family Guy, the Food Network
It would only be fair to list authors rather than books - it might not take as long: Chuck Palahniuk, Wendell Berry, Lewis Nordan, Edgar Allan Poe, Nick Hornby, Alan Lightman, Nathaniel Hawthorne, C.S. Friedman, Edward Abbey, J.R.R. Tolkien, Laura Hillenbrand, Tim O'Brien, Cormac McCarthy, Kurt Vonnegut, Hisaye Yamamamoto......................... Also to note is the little essay "On Bullshit" by H.G. Frankfurt and published by Princeton UP - great read.
Chuck Palahniuk, my parents, and gotta give a shout out to God
