About Me

From humble beginnings as a young folk-punk songwriter on the mean sidewalks of the Lower East Side's underground folk scene, Hudson, NY-based songwriter Liv Carrow has grown up into an idiosyncratic darling indie folk. She has toured Canada and the US as a solo performer, and Europe as the bassist for NYC freak-folk band Huggabroomstik. She has performed at all of Olive Juice Records' "OJ All Day" Festivals as well as several Antifolk Festivals at NYC's Sidewalk Cafe. In addition, Liv has appeared fundraisers, poetry and art events, and been played on radio programs in the US, Canada and Europe. With her new Hudson band The Special Feelings, Liv's latest batch of songs has taken on a more energetic, old-timey character. They are preparing to record a third album sometime in 2010.Liv's debut album "It's About Time" can be purchased through Olive Juice Music at http://olivejuicemusic.com/ojstore.html.It's also available at The Marvelous Records in Phildelphia, PA.Her second release "Romance Roadkill Reincarnation" will be available from Liv and soon from Olive Juice records distro.
