About Me

You've reached the Myspace space of Christine Fontana. I'm blessed with an amazing family, friends and husband. I love animals, and dig people who share a deep respect for sentient creatures. I have two dogs, Cutie Pie and Buster, who were adopted from a high-kill animal shelter. I am a native New Orleanian (so you know I was raised as a Catholic school girl) who morphed into an attorney, screenwriter, entertainment writer and food writer. My work can be found in various publications, from New Orleans Living Magazine (www.livingneworleans.com) to Playgirl to Gotham to Country Weekly, and then some. Occasionally I do movie production work. I graduated from the University of New Orleans, Loyola University School of Law, and I attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for screenwriting. I LOVE MUSIC!!!! I played music professionally in New Orleans for years; I played bass for Odd Fellows Rest (indie) and I sang for The King Bees (funk/soul). Also, I played Moog for three weeks in some band whose name escapes me. I've always loved to travel but I've cut back a bit since 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. My biggest regret in life was that as a child, I never got to be a guest on the now retired New Orleans meteorologist Don Westbrook-hosted Popeye & Pals Show; I coveted the delicious ice cream those kids scarfed down in front of all the deprived children watching from home whilst performing their miserable Saturday chores!! My greatest accomplishment in life thus far is winning the am/fm hamburger radio for selling the most chocolate bars in 4th grade, even though I am not a fan of hamburgers.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My career as a writer has afforded me the opportunity to meet plenty of people: entrepreneurs, athletes, actors, models, musicians, rock stars, talk show hosts, comedians, Presidents of the United States (Honey, why you think Bill Clinton had his heart attack in New Orleans???), you name it. Yet I've never met Kermit the Frog or Glenn Tipton; I'm keeping the faith alive.
