Milton Batera

Milton Batera is a brazilian drummer since more than 25 years ago. His father is also a great drummer.After this inicial family-contact with music at seven years old he join up the marching band from his school, where he made a lot of concerts, some of them in USA.He took musical theory and practice classes, with a saxophone player formed in Berklee College, and played in the Big Band of his school.Since he was 14 he has played in a lot of festivals (Munsterland Festival -Germany, Jazz & Blues Festival - Czech Republic, Serenates Guitarristiques d..estiu memorial Xavier Bestard XIV Edició - Mallorca, Festival Internacional de Jazz de Gaia...) Jam Sessions, pubs (Blue Note - Germany, Onda Jazz - Portugal...) radios (RDP África - Antena 3 - Marginal...), tv shows (USA, SIC - RTP Portugal, MTV videoclips....) stages and theatres in Brazil and other countries and continents, with countless artists from all over the world and countless diferent music styles.He has a significant experience in productions, studios and records in São Paulo for 4 years.And he also taught workshops and drum classes in several schools and relationated events.Drum is not the only instrument he plays, he also plays popular guitar and taught how to play this instrument to children, teenagers and adults.Milton already recorded 3 CD's as composer and several live music CD's and DVD's (Joel Xavier - São Luís, Phlip Hamilton - Cassino Figueira da Foz) from different projects.
