About Me

A famous musician from St Louis once said, "Mike Snodgrass is like a fine old Fender Stratocaster. He's completely versatile for every style and covers all the bases"
Mike started playing at the age of 6. Within just a few years he worked into the spot of bass player in his father's swing band, playing everything from Bob Wills to Ray Price. But lead guitar remained his passion. Before reaching his teenage years he discovered Rock and Roll, Les Paul's, Marshall stacks, and fuzz pedals.
In his early 20s Mike got a gig playing rhythm guitar with the Grandfather of Rock and Roll, Chuck Berry. Since then he has shared the stage with many top artists as an opener and in their bands, and continues to be a high demand player both live and in the studio.
"I've been labeled a 'country' player at times. Other times a 'R&B' player or 'rocker'. I've actually made a decent living playing all different types of music, and enjoyed them all equally. But I like to put my own flair into whatever I'm playing. I just love music. I love Guns and Roses to Ernest Tubb -- Joe Pass to Tony Rice to Hendrix to CSN. It's ALL good. And when it comes to playing live... as long as it moves music fans emotionally, it doesn't matter what genre of music it is. It's all fun. And fun is why we started playing in the first place."
Mike uses:
Marshall Amplifiers
Gibson and Fender guitars
Pedaltrain Pedalboards and Cases
George L Cables
