My sound has been influenced by several genres of music. Playing professionally for over 18 years, I've played classic rock, southern rock (Leon Wilkeson!), funk, blues, country, rockabilly, and even cajun and bluegrass (more like new-grass) styles.
Always ready for a jam session - The original songs performed here are just that - home jams that turned into songs. 'The Room' was a compilation between myself and guitarist Eric Ridel back in '91, which was dug out of the cassette archives and converted over to digital. 'The Room Revisited' was inspired by that tune. I brought in some guitar riffs to fill it in, which gives it that 70's style classic rock sound.
Enjoy the tunes and leave a comment if you'd like. All material copyrighted by Peter Jaye.
Professional Background
1989 - Studied guitar with Chris Newel
1991-1992 - Vocal Lessons from Roberta Peck-Vater
1992-1993 - Studied bass with Bob Laramie of Paranoise, who was with a local band called Street Temperature (Hartford, CT) at that time. Bob had studied with Michael Manring for a bit, and if you know your bass player history, Manring took lessons from Jaco Pastorius back in his younger years.
