Homeschooling rocks and has been such a blessing to us. Being a grandparent is so cool and enables you to have that new baby feeling all over again. In between all of the above I'm working in our ministry www.Shoes2Share.com to move and groove in a big way!
Really enjoy hiking, the beach in the evening and listening to nature - really clears the head and puts things in perspective. Autumn is my favorite season, especially in Arizona. Flying kites and going for long bike rides makes me feel like a kid again. Campfires.....now that's relaxing! Traveling with my family in our RV and waking up somewhere different is so refreshing! People in campgrounds are usually the nicest people you could ever meet. If I had it my way, we'd be on the road fulltime now, but all good things come to those who wait. Laughing outloud (especially at yourself) is the best cure for everything and my husband and kids have me doing that ALL THE TIME! Oh and yes I love softshell crab sandwiches & I'm a french fry, brussel sprout, lima bean & reeses peanut butter freak! Did I mention I go to McD's for only one thing - vanilla milkshakes!
Anyone who has a clue how to get everything needed to be done in one day.......But I'd settle meeting anyone who hasn't figured it out yet but has some good ideas. HEE HEE!.. width="425" height="350" ..
Newsboys, Rebecca Saint James, Audio Adrenaline, Kirk Franklin, Steven Curtis Chapman, SuperChic(k), TobyMac, Jeremy Camp, Adie, BarlowGirl, Sevenglory, Chris Rice, Warren Barfield, Joy Williams, DC Talk, KJ 52, Jars of Clay, ZoeGirl, Relient K, Kutless, David Crowder Band, Lenny Kravitz, Toby Keith, Big Daddy Weave, Third Day, Rachael Lampa, Wild Orchid, The Spirit Soundtrack (Bryan Adams), Elvis, Herbie Hancock, James Taylor, Hiroshima, Carly Simon, Seal and so many others - can't think of them all now. I love any tunes that bring good memories from moments in life, especially classic rock 'n roll.
"Fly Away Home" - There's something special about connecting with the little fuzzy, scaley, slippery & feathery creatures that God created. This movie is cool when the orphaned baby geese imprint on the little girl who hatches them in a dresser drawer. She instantly becomes their surrogate mother and together they accomplish & overcome much together! "Dreamer" and "Spirit" is another animal movie that touched my heart.
What is TV? (if you know me you'd get it) Seriously when I have time it's Extreme Home Makeover (that show has such heart, the one with Ty)Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and National Geographic. Watching the news is too honkin depressing and most everything else is TMI (too much info) for my eyes and ears.
The B - I - B - L - E and then my little tattered devotional I've had since living in Haiti a few years ago! I don't have a very good track record at sitting down to read an entire book but I do love to read when I make time for it. I get a lot out of Focus on the Family publications - short stories that apply to life. Check out their website for all kinds of info and resources that are helpful in dealing with our world today! http://www.family.org/
The ONE who created the earth beneath my feet and the air that I breathe! Don't just think about who created it all.......... cause it's real.......... and it just might be too late once your done thinking about it!
