About Me

For Nick Fevola, film scoring provides an opportunity for his passion for music and love for dramatic storytelling to come together. His varied education and experience in jazz, rock, pop and classical music allows him to bridge stylistic gaps while creating music that is expressive and thoughtful. Nick’s music has been described as “timeless, evocative, and inspiring.”

Fevola was born 1982 in Queens, NY. His musical journey started at a young age, while marching with his dad to the sounds of their family record player. At age nine he began playing trombone, which he pursued actively throughout his time in high school and college. His professional career as a musician began during this period, served as lead trombone player in New York’s Most Dangerous Big Band from 2002 to 2005.

Fevola began studying music composition formally while pursuing his undergraduate degrees at Hofstra University. There he studied with electronic music legend Herbert Deutsch, Academy Award winner Ken Lampl, and jazz pianist and composer David Lalama. He simulanteously studied Computer Science and graduated with degrees in both fields in May of 2005.

By the time of his graduation, Nick had set his sights on the entertainment industry. He moved to Los Angeles in August of 2006 and studied music for film through the acclaimed Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at the University of Southern California. While at the program, he had the opportunity to learn from the likes of film composers Chris Young and John Frizzell and orchestrator and conductor Pete Anthony. Shortly before graduation in May of 2007, Nick and five of his USC colleagues formed Q6 Studios, where he currently serves as composer, director and CFO.

Nick has worked at the studios of film composers Elia Cmiral and Christopher Lennertz, where he has recently served as synth and drum programmer for PULSE 2 and arranger and programmer for DISASTER MOVIE. Fevola is also a part of the team at Steven Juliani Music, where he has contributed in music preparation for projects including ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS, SEX AND THE CITY, and Spike Lee’s upcoming MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA. He has written over 20 scores and has served in the music department on over 50 projects. Nick will be scoring the feature thriller PIG, directed by Henry Barrial, with Alexander Burke in early 2009.
