I have been playing harmonica since I was about 20 years old. I have had a passion for music since as long as I can remember, though. In fact, I took organ lesson at a very young age and competed against other children. I believe that it was my innate sense for music that allowed me to win several of those competitions, for I barely practiced due to finding a variety of other things more fun at the time. Although I was distracted from formal lessons early on, music has always been a defining part of my personality. I taught myself how to play the harmonica by ear. I accomplished this by listening to and playing along with many of the great blues musicians, such as Little Walter, Sonnyboy Williamson, Big Walter, Howlin Wolf, Paul Butterfield,James Cotton, William Clarke, Kim Wilson, and Rod Piazza to name a few.
