About Me

I am the author of ten books. These include "The 100 Greatest American Films: A Quiz Book," "Turning Points in Film History," "Obsessed with Hollywood," "Fifty Filmmakers: Conversations with Directors from Roger Avary to Steven Zaillian,"(with Gary Graver) "Making Movies with Orson Welles: A Memoir," (with David Walker and Chris Watson) "Reflections on Blaxploitation," and "Finishing Each Other's Sentences: The Collaborations of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro." My newest sale is "I Am Hip-Hop" which I am cowriting with David Walker and Michael Dequina. In addition, I am also the resident film critic for my local newspaper, and the producer of several movies, such as "Zombiegeddon," "Dead In Love," "Slaughter Party," "Evil Ever After," and the forthcoming "Dahmer vs. Gacy," which I also wrote. I am married to a very beautiful woman and have four children.
