DJ SLIDE | BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1981, Slide got acquainted with electronic music at a young age, and since he lived just ten minutes away form Club Speed - famous in those times, he had the opportunity to hear all the foreign guest DJs spin quite often. Driven by these first positive encounters Slide started visiting more and more places, even outside the borders of Hungary, including several major festivals, mega-party events.
First as a techno fan, he started collecting the great tech classics. When progressive hit the ground his preference for softer beats emerged. Soon came the first occasion to demonstrate his talents on a birthday party, where he has received acknowledgement from friends and those at the party right away. All at once requests followed one another, since then Slide has had the chance to prove his skills on numerous Debut parties, the once prominent Home Club and Pacha in Budapest, and the Dokk Club, with increasing popularity in many smaller clubs all around Hungary as well. From 2003 Slide's been a resident DJ of Coronita Club in Budapest. On the 2005 Budapest Parade, he played on the Justmusic FM truck, where he could test his skills in front of a much larger crowd. From 2006 on he's been resident of Club Cool in Budapest downtown, appearing regularly nearly twice a week, and also outside the borders of Hungary, as a couple of times in Romania or Austria.
Slide's launched a radio show in February 2007 on Tribalmixes Radio (www.tribalmixes.org) under the name 'Untitled Radio Show', which immediately became popular with audiences. Lining up the best of Hungarian Djs, with many foreign, internationally acclaimed names every now and then, all followed by Slide's host sets, the show turned a great success in no time. By the end of 2007 a club night series took off to accompany the radio show, dubbed Untitled Radio Show Night, where Dj friend, Shoelace and many other had the chance to appear live. Untitled Radio Show Night parties gathered great audiences from around Budapest, no wonder hosts have planned to take the series to other major cities around Hungary, for all fans of electronic dance music!
Barely through the 100th show, year 2009 has again opened up new opportunities for Slide and Untitled Radio Show. Now as a live show on the largest Hungarian internet radio, JustmusicFM, Slide and his guests, may carry on the prosperous march boosted with all the possibilities of a live studio and webcam, not speaking of a much larger audience. All fans of Untitled can now be assured to get the best and most interesting line of guest appearances, adding a broader variety to the listening experience.
There should be no doubt, that Slide is a true born musician, also giving way to his talents in music production recently in addition to spinning just a couple of records. His first release will be out this April under the Italian Presslab label, with three songs in coproduction with friend Prescott, and a remix by Andre, promising to be a smashing hit, and there will surely be plenty more to follow. With his dynamic progress in the past, it is not a surprise Slide is headed out for more, with more great productions and gigs home and abroad as well.
