Kovan Baldwin, simply known by the stage name of Kovan is an independent R&B music singer based out of the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Born May 28th, 1989. Baldwin released his independent debut locally entitled Bout Time in May 2007.. Kovan's music is laced with meaningful lyrics, ranging from the real aspects of relationships (as opposed to most mainstream R&B artists who focus on the aspect of sex and lust), life stories, and music selection to everyday endeavors as an aritst. Many of his songs focus on love in the emotional and spiritual sense, without the sexual references or lustful lyrics. This ultimately categorizes him as "real" with his music, and "keeping it real". Kovan's sophomore album "Gifted" was released on January 16, 2009 and the release party was held at the historically known Ausburg College. Many family members, friends and fans attended. Kovan is currently working on this third album Statement , set for release in 2011. Kovan is also working hard to make him self known and get signed by a label soon. He is going forward with his goals and will never stop making music. As time goes by his music gets better in better. Let's see were his potential will take him years from now.
