Born and Bred in Newberry, South Carolina recording artist Maine made alot of mistakes and alot of bad choices often through his life. At times it left him with nothing but he always fought even when the odds are against him. One of his choices lead him to a early felony conviction at the age of 16 for attempted strong armed robbery."Man after I caught that case I knew I fucked up bad" Maine reflects. " After that I got a job and started focusing on music alot more cuz I realized that now I can't even vote or nothing" "Truthfully speaking I couldn't get a good job cuz I had a scratch on my record".After goin through sum much triumph man regain focus. A few months later Maine got a call from Young Shawty and Young Shawty told Maine that he got a studio up with a guy named DJ Gamble. Maine met Gamble for the first time and was reintroduced back to hit type of music. Maine says"Young Shawty saved me with this cuz I actually thought about quiting after the Crooklyn break up" a local supergroup that Maine was apart of." I didn't know what to do but I got it together cuz what people don't know is that I was working with Young Shawty in my studio I put out 3 local mixtapes and no matter what Young Shawty had my back even when the haters was hatin".A couple months later we put out the GGC South On Lock Vol.1 Mixtape and it failed because the group failed to push it as a whole. Lately Maine has been working on his long awaited mixtape called Thorobred:Young & Strapped hosted by DJ Cannon Banyon & DJ Gamble. In the process of the mixtape Maine has been working with several artist over the country and he is also prepping more solo mixtapes and collaboration mixtapes with other artist.In 2008 Maine has business to handle and he plans to bring a voice for the people and the streetz. With a promising future ahead trust me you will be hearing alot from this 19 year old monster.
