About Me
Being the son of musicians, Jayce has had music in his blood his whole life- he took up piano at a very young age and played for over 10 years. His love of music knows no boundaries with regards to genres or time zones, with his all time favourite artists including Elvis Presley, Billy Joel, Joe Cocker, Luciano Pavarotti, Stevie Wonder, Metallica, Simon & Garfunkel, Dusty Springfield, and The Bee Gees just to name a few! From the first time he set foot in a nightclub he was fascinated with DJing- Charlie Zee in particular being somewhat of an idol whose sets each week gave him aspirations to DJ at the highest level. Starting from the ground up, he taught himself how to beat mix, before doing a couple of years mobile DJ work. Constantly working on his art and refining his sound, Jayce has been playing in the club scene for the last 7 years, having held residencies and played guest spots at some of Melbourne's premier venues including: The Viper Room, Motel, Love Machine, Watermark, Lotus Bar, Vatican, Tantra, F4, 11A, Chicane, Platform One, Brazen Lounge (Club UK), Bond Bar, Chasers, and Kiss My Grass at the Myer Music Bowl in 2008 which was attended by over 20,000 people, as well as playing guest spots on Nova FM's Saturday night 'Oblivion' (2003-2004) and Kiss FM's Club Lunch (2006 - current).As soon as a set from Jayce begins you can instantly feel an increase in the vibe of the room! The heavy influences from Eric Prydz / Pryda, Michael Cassette / Komytea, Martin Roth, Lank, Simon & Shaker, Luke Chable, D-Nox, and Ihab Sameh reflect Jayce's love of progressive & uplifting fused with elements of tech. Internationally, his favourite DJ's are John Digweed, Martin Roth, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo whilst Jayce draws great inspiration from local DJ's Sean Quinn, Chris Meehan, Sam Fraser, Nik Corvo, Trav Michael's, and Steve Bleas.
