For his entire life, Oluwagbemiga David Agboola, known to his fans as King David has excelled at whatever hobby he decided to undertake. Coming from a family who believed in traditional Nigerian values, David’s parents encouraged him to be the best at everything—whether it was sports, acting, or music. As a result, the gifted performer won numerous awards for all three during his childhood years.
However, it was a job as an instrumentalist for his church’s choir at the tender age of 10 that paved the way for him to showcase his talent and become the musical sensation he is today. By age 14, David was already performing for churches all over the city of London. As people became more familiar with him, his popularity grew dramatically and at age 17, David landed a gig performing for the Choice FM Junior Jam. As his success continued, he got more shows and eventually the opportunity to open for A-lists stars such as Ciara, Omarion, 50 Cent, Estelle, and Chingy.
With radio airplay in both the UK and Africa, King David is now set to expand his empire to North America. Appropriately named after one of the most revered kings in biblical history, this singer/songwriter has managed to captivate the hearts and minds of his listeners. His debut album, The Medicine, will display his talents as a rapper, writer, singer, and producer, and is set to hit stores soon.
