About Me

I am one million years old, a "silly little ducky", an " oddly shy and modest hippie", one "tough little cookie...but not in the macadamia nut sense", and a college student majoring in philosophy. My parents thought they had a breakdown when I was 20 and I decided that I wanted to major in criminal justice and become a police officer, then I took a religion class and told them I was changing my major to philosophy...that would be when the real breakdown occurred " Patricia half those people think God is a tree." I think I still have an entire church praying for my soul. My poor parents I love them so much "Patricia you may be liberal but we love you anyway." I don't know if I would label myself liberal... I just think everyone has their own way of looking at things and living, and when you get past all the B.S we are all very alike, and have been for years.
I really love my friends and am very grateful to have them. I am an only child and many of my family members passed away so my friends are like family. I love getting them together and having little wine dinners or picnics. Both of which I do not cook for because I would fear for their health.
I am really into traveling, there are so many places I feel like I have to see before I die. As corny as it sounds I don't want to just read about places I want to touch them, taste them, and experience a different culture.
Lastly I love to run, I want to finish a marathon by the end of the year, or run the marathon at cowtown in February. Running is my way of taking everything off my mind and relaxing after a long day at work or stressful week at school. This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Who would I like to meet...hmmm...I guess I could put someone famous but honestly the first person that comes to mind is my great grandmother, I would love to speak to her again. She was an amazing person who had this beautiful sense of respect and awe for knowledge and the arts. She went back to school at the age of 80 just to learn how to paint. I remember how much I loved listening to her play piano for me as a child. I wish I could be half the force she was.

Also, I would love to meet someone who when I inform them I am a philosophy major does not respond with " You have to be kidding me, you should pick a more lucrative path, for instance( insert their career path here) now that is where the money is at."

Good, laid back, genuine people who make me laugh. How I dearly love and appreciate those people!

And last but not least. One of these days that banter partner of my dreams...

If I ever get married I want to do this!

Music:

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent” Victor Hugo

Movies:

What Dreams May Come, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fall, The Fountain, Pan's Labyrinth, Lady in the Water, The Big Lebowski, Love Actually, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Princess Bride, Crash, Stardust, Star Wars(all of them), The Goonies, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Office Space, The Count of Monte Cristo, Hook, The Dead Poets Society, Beerfest, In Good Company, Into the Wild, Across the Universe, Heaven Can Wait(1940's version), Les Miserables, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Books:

I just recently started reading Russian literature and I find it quite intriguing. I was just talking to someone who dropped by my work about it and we both feel that there is a power/ texture/ passion in the literature that is different from other cultures. I don't know, I can't get enough of the stuff, I feel like I am starting to get bit by a new curiosity about the Russian culture in general.

Heroes:

Genuine people who have a kind heart.

This is just so pretty.. .
