First thing you should know about me is that Im addicted to music. Ive been a severe addict since I first stole a listen of the N.W.A album Straight Outta Compton at 9 years old whilst my parents slept upstairs.Since then Ive used a variety of music genres, starting with Hip Hop and moving to Oldskool Hardcore, then to Gabba and finally settling on Techno. - the harder the better!I love my Drum n Bass and Hard Dance regulary playing the latter out in my sets. I used to MC back in 1993 and gave that up for mixing in about 1996-7, right when first heard and feel in love with Gabba and Hardcore Techno.I got pretty good at mixing which has lead to a pretty decent DJ'ing career. Ive been lucky enough to have played for some of Londons top club nights, such as Logic, Antiworld, Zoology and played in Londons greatest clubs such as SEone, The Fridge and 414's. Last year I was extremely lucky to get the oppurtunity to play over in Brazil too!Ive run successfull parties under the Redtrip Banner - Corrosive, Audiotrash and hosted rooms for events like Logic, The Gathering and Frantic. Redtrip was founded with a group of my close friends who are still part of my life today.
Even before DJ'ing Ive been writing tunes, and am now at the stage where Im playing them out when I DJ. I'll be posting my progress in my blogs.
DJ Slacky playing his track Nowhere To Run @ Plug the World, BrazilExtreme sports is my other great passion, Im a skater first and foremost but mountain boarding comes a close second. Im at a pretty beginner level with my skate boarding - nailing basic tricks like 180's, Pop shuv its and a few lips tricks on mini ramps. Me and my friends Phil (Flip) and Mils (Jono) built a 4x8 half pipe to skate in my folks back garden! (pics in my Gallery). Ive only been mountain boarding about 10 times so Im still finding my feet although after my last time out im comming on fast. Ive got two mates Steelz and Mils to session with and this'll be logged in my blogs....
Ive got a pretty tight group of mates too, most of them Ive known over 10 years, so we've got a lot of history. We still all meet up and do the usual clubbing, pubbing and drinking thing.All in all lifes mostly pretty good. I intend keeping a blog about the various things I get up to and my hair brained activites. Wether that comes in to effect is another matter - check back anyways....";
