MJ SANDOVAL is based in Belgium, a small European country with a strong music scene featuring an open air festival tradition that started somewhere in the early sixties and has grown bigger and stronger ever since.
Their career has been marked from the beginning by strong songwriting abilities and intense live performances.
If MJ SANDOVAL’s early songs and performances clearly showed traditional rock roots, the band since has evolved with a vast collection of new material that shows a more balanced interpretation of musical history.

MJ SANDOVAL features the same core trio since early 2007. MJ, multi-instrumentalist, main songwriter and singer who’s voice is often compared to Stevie Nicks with that quite androgenous and sulky style of singing,
is the main musical force together with drummer Bart Mombaerts and bassplayer Jo Bulen.
