Bryan better known by his stage names Col-Dez or BreeZe was born aug 10, 1987 in small town Ozark Al. He is the youngest of three children. His early years weren't the best of times. There were many instances where there would be no food on the table for days. He states "Growing up with nothing, made me something." Much of his childhood was spent on the road traveling from city to city. His mother enjoyed seeing new places, and never let finances interupt her chances.
At age 10 his mother moved the family to St. Louis, Il. Although living conditions werent great it was one of the first stable homes for the family. In need of money, but not willing to sell drugs bryan resorted to music. At age 12 he began entering local talent shows for prize money. After gaining a local fanbase he began battle rapping other mc's across the city. He recalls " It wasnt so much what I said but how I said it. I would say the same line my opponent said but different, and the crowd loved it." Due to the violent neighborhood they lived in his mother had him move to Colorado to stay with his grandmother.
Just one month into the move Bryan had already began battle rapping at his high school. He continued to do so until he had a gun pulled on him at a hip hop event. He recounts " That was the wake up call.... all it took was one time, some people take losing to the extent they want to take shots... literally." With battle rap no longer an option he spent his time writing songs, and playing school sports. He excelled in both basketball and track and field. With not enough time on his hands to play both sports year round he quit basketball and devoted himself to track. With no experience his first year in the sport he won a state title. After a great first season, he followed up with a all american sohpmore year. The remainder of his high school career wasnt as note worthy due to injuries. He wrote over 80 songs his first year in college and recorded many of them in the dorm room of his friend DJ Quake. He also occasionally freestyle'd on the college radio, and at parties across campus.
He has since recorded over 100 plus songs.. He has opened for numerous industry artist: mike jones, E 40, Young berg, Lil Flip, Twista just to name a few. In 2006 he teamed up with DJ dozen and released the mixtape Ear 2 the Streets. Within its first month of release it had received 82,000 downloads.
He is currently putting together his debut solo release. For a number of years he was apart of the now defunct group TrackrunnerZ...
