Even though quite a few bands have been exploring this kind of music with different success, SAD AFFAIR fascinate with their new album out. This is not due to sound innovation, but to the intimacy of the songs that calls out for astonishment.
After multiple breaks and reshuffles since the band first started in 1990, the two creative heads Kay Schwarz (voice, guitar) and Christoph Weist (guitar, piano) have gotten back together to write songs. The result is now documented with the album HAPPINESS IS EASY.
In the beginning it only takes a short while until the songs start to open up to the listener. Then soon one will begin to explore various affectionate details and emotions the world of Sad Affair.
The album happiness is easy is charged with emotions and melodies. Songs like "so call it love" or "floating like a river" are an impressive evidence of sensitive song writing.
We took quite some time to work on the arrangement of the songs until we were satisfied and ready to record this album. Everybody who will take time to listen to the album will notice that it was not done by the way. Most songs deal with strong emotions and impressions in our lives. To reflect them right simply takes time.
