Not much to tell... Grew up in Poquonock CT, living here in coastal Maine past 27 years. Went to college here... (UMO and UMA)..., got my AS, BA and started some grad work. And here I am over 48 grand in debt for student loans and I am a recovering social worker on an extended sabbatical. I'm married to Michael and he is my rock. We've known each other 26 years now and I couldn't imagine life without him. We have 2 somewhat(lol) grown, amazing kids ages 20(Brandon), and 22(Amanda). Amanda is beautiful, talented and an incredible young lady, but try to tell her that. Just her smile melts my heart. She's so strong and independent, just as stubborn as her Ukrainian grandfather. She had a gorgeous baby boy in July 06 (Tristen)... and felt the best route was adoption. We've been blessed as her best friends family adopted him and we didn't lose our grandson we extended our family. I only wish they lived closer. Soon after Tristen was born we discovered Brandon's girlfriend Dorothi was pregnant. Never a dull moment. Now we have another BEAUTIFUL grandson; Desmond...born on May 25 2007. He is the light in every room he enters. Brandon is my baby, he's sensitive and talented. I had a dream about him when I was 12 years old and always knew I'd have a blond haired, blue eyed boy that I'd name Brandon Michael. He likes to cook and play bass and grow his hair, lol! He has quite the sense of humor and is the first to laugh at his jokes, but that laugh just warms your soul. I LOVE my family, they are the air I breathe and I am so grateful to have them in my life.
I'm a caretaker with a capital C... my mom has dementia due to years of diabetes and several mini strokes. She has lived with us the past 7 years. She is an amazing woman with strengths she is not even aware of... but stubborn, OMG! I love my Mom and I am so grateful to have this time together. My nephew Jesse use to call her his "rock and roll grandma", and that really sums her up. She loves to sing and laugh and wants to help everyone around her but doesn't like others to know when she needs help. There are times when the dementia is significant but other times when her clarity is as sharp as ever and I treasure those moments. My husband has RSD after a fall at work and has been disabled by this painful disorder. I have lived with pain disorders all my life, dx'ed w/ Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis as a baby, but I could always manage until a car accident in 2002, that was pretty much when my life had to take a whole new direction. I thought I knew what pain was and then along came the Fibro... wow! So, since I don't get a chance to get out as much as I'd like, I thought joining myspace would be fun.The simple things in life make me happy... seeing a rainbow, watching a bird fly, sharing a laugh with someone I love. Music and being in the gardens are my sanity and I love getting lost in those moments. I find so much peace outdoors and I am in awe of the wonders of nature. Wow, so sappy! When I grow up, I'm gonna be a hippie chick and live life as it's supposed to be lived... PURE N SIMPLE!!! Beautiful! We all shine on....Myspace Graphics
