I'm a fan of a variety of genres, but the ones that usually catch my attention are punk, alternative, folk, politically themed, 80's new wave/pop, and old country.

I love documentaries and movies that encourage me to think, rather than leave me numb to the world. Recent impressive movies include

Books:

Planning books such as "Toward Sustainable Communities", "The Geography of Nowhere", and "Cities in the Wilderness" All I read these days are planning, planning, planning books.

Non-fiction is my preference of reading material. I enjoy being enlightened about current issues, people, and life in general. I don't necessarily care what it is about as long as it increases my knowledge and, hopefully, makes me a better person because of it.

Heroes:

People who speak against the corrupt corporate machine, those who show no fear to do what is right in their heart, people who give a voice to those who can not be heard, individuals that are helping to create a paradigm shift toward a more sustainable society (environmentally, socially, economically)
