Ever since the days of the Beastie Boys and Tha Alkaholiks, the hip-hop music industry has been starving for a group like The Party Crashers. Growing up in the surroundings of Oakland, CA during the 80's and 90's, the underground sound of the Bay Area was embedded in their soul. The party won't ever be the same now that Nick V & Expel are crashing the industry.
As the self titled debut album hits the streets and the internet, The Party Crashers stay busy working on their sophmore album as well as their own solo projects. The combination of Nick V's mind for production and Expel's ear as a DJ make up the soundtrack to crash a party to. The chemistry between the two lyrically is more than anyone can ask for when it comes to a live performance. When they hit the stage, the show has just begun.
The two first linked up in the Oakland based crew, International Loose Cannons. Through years of shows at major venues such as the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, the House of Blues in Vegas, and all the way out to shows in Hellsinki; it was a no brainer. Nick V & Expel had to bring their self-indulging style to the world. The brilliance of their sound comes from the innovative mind of Nick V. His perceptiveness for sound keeps the dance floor packed and leaves the crowd with their hands up. Being a DJ for 16 years, Expel has the knack to rock a crowd. Bringing an original craft to the production and the know-how to keep heads nodding. Together, their candid demeanor carries from the studio to the stage, giving all customers a fresh sound that will leave them feeling a part of The Party Crashers Movement.
The album is a story that everyone can relate to. The first song "Come on In" shows that these are the type of guys you want at your event. Whether you know them or not, they just seem so damn loveable. "Why Not!?" which was one of the first songs recorded for the album, sets the table for an "anything goes" mentality. Songs such as "Top Shelf Quality" and "Don't Mind If I Do" give the listener a feeling of equality. These guys don't wanna be backstage away from the fans. They want to be at the bar buying a round for everyone. The final song on the album "Uncureable", is a mixture between the feeling the next morning and the feeling that night. "I swear I'll never drink again!" Yeah right!
Gracing the stage with artists such as Living Legends, Tha Alkaholiks, Hieroglyphics, Zion-I, and Brother Ali; The Party Crashers are well on their way to solidifing themselves in the hip-hop world. From their quirky lyrics and head nodding beats, to their wild stage presence and alluring personalities; this group is sure to keep hip-hop alive. It's only a matter of time before they show up at your door.
