AVATARA

About Me

Avatara is in a transition at the moment. As of Feb 2008, we consist of Angel Roberts and Tom Sanky. Jeremy will be pursuing musical endeavors soon in Raleigh NC, so stay tuned to see what he puts together. Jeremy will always be welcomed for Cameo spots with us when he is in the area, and will consider reconnecting if he ever moves back to the Outer Banks.
As for Avatara, we are beginning to search for talent to fill in the gaps. This would need to be someone with strong with Vocal Harmonies, if not even a few songs, and proficient on Bass, or Guitar (for I can switch considering the song). You must live in the Outer Banks area and have own transportation. Having a garage would be a plus :)
We have access to a 1750 watt PA system. We use a wireless monitors system. We have a 16 channel mixer with exta 6 channel mix down for drums, effects processors, drive rack, and 1000 watt amp in our racky system, and a 750 watt Powered Subwoofer. Yamaha Main Speakers. We also have a sound activated quad light system. I have a half stack Orange Amp, and Gibson/Jackson/Martin guitars. I also play bass some if needed. We could potentially pick up a Lead and Bass player and be a 4 piece band if the right talent shows up.
THIS IS OUR HISTORY
We were a three piece band that hails from the Outer Banks of NC. We play original music blended in with Rock and Roll favorites from 70's to modern rock. We have a wide variety of music and sound. We formed spring of 2006. We have gigged in the Outer Banks NC area, and Greenville NC. We were hired for the Dare Days Arts Festival in June 06. We played in Battle of the Bands at Dr. Unks, Greenville, and won 3rd place in Battle of the Bands in Ahoskie this year. We've played the Pit once, and Port 'O Call in KDH, and Dr. Unks in Greenville several times. We come as a band or Duo for smaller venues among other small places. Feel free to see more pics and more details about us at our website. The link is on the left of this page, or copy: AngelRobertsArt.com/avatara. (The website has not been updated at this time. The pictures of our history will stay, until we are able to add more) Jeremy, good luck my Brother! Tom and I love you and will miss you! Talk to you soon.
What you STILL might hear at a Future Avatara Gig other than Originals:
CCR, Janis Joplin, Four Non Blondes, Sublime, Matchbox 20, Jewel, Hootie and the Blowfish, John Mellencamp, Georgia Satilite, the Eagles, and more...
Lastly the recordings on this page was a home recording of Angel, Jeremy and Tom, I hope to save some cash for a CD this summer, once we decide what direction the band is going :)
