About Me

The full-circle arc of a romantic relationship acts as the basis for the new independent album "Do You Remember?" arriving in June of 2007. Singer-songwriter Jamey DuVall has crafted 12 original love songs that explore a variety of versatile genres, from electronica to country to mainstream pop.The album opens with the title song, which is arranged with a flurry of electronica inspired beats and staccato strings. "Bye Bye" features a group of highly accomplished musicians who conjure the spirit of classic guitar-tinged blues. A meditation on the innocence inherent in falling in love follows with "Would You Like to Meet Me Tonight?", a powerful ballad awash in romantic strings and brass. A wide array of musical genres continue to be apparent in the tracks that follow, including the funky, soulful leanings of James Brown in "Feel", the a cappella jazziness of "For You, Before You", the country balladry of "For Better or Worse", the Spanish tinge of "I Know", the bubblegum pop of "Being Without You" and the alternative rock sound of "Broken Record". The album closes with three powerful cuts -- the seven minute power ballad "Didn't You?", "The Demon Inside", which tells a story in the tradition of Bruce Springsteen of a man who surrenders to shameful measures to overcome a broken heart, and the Irish folk flavorings of "Still"."Do You Remember?" is co-produced by Dave Stimson of Bit x Byt Studios and Jamey DuVall. Complete musician credits will be forthcoming. In an unprecendented glimpse behind the scenes at the making of the album, and gearing up to the June 2007 completion, work-in-progress tracks will be posted on www.myspace.com/jameyduvall and www.jameyduvall.com. Upon the album's release, listeners may purchase the entire album or individual tracks from www.jameyduvall.com or through independent retailers that have yet to be determined. Performances will also be scheduled during the second and third quarters of next year at venues to be announced at a later date. For more information, listeners may contact Jamey DuVall through his myspace music page.Track Listing (tentative):1.
