About Me

[We] the heir of all the ages, in the foremost files of time
Let the great world spin for ever down the ringing grooves of change.
Both Tennyson.
If I were to wish for anything, I should
not wish for wealth and power, but for the
passionate sense of potential -- for the eye
which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible.
Pleasure disappoints; possibility never.
~Soren Kierkegaard
Of all the sciences cultivated by mankind, Astronomy is acknowledged to be, and undoubtedly is, the most sublime, the most interesting, and the most useful. For, by knowledge derived from this science, not only the bulk of the Earth is discovered . . . ; but our very faculties are enlarged with the grandeur of the ideas it conveys, our minds exalted above [ their ] low contracted prejudices.—James Ferguson, Astronomy Explained Upon Sir Isaac Newton's Principles, And Made Easy To Those Who Have Not Studied Mathematics (1757)
I'm the magic 25, a quarter of a beautiful century. Just shifting into 2nd now...
I think I'll enjoy the speed.
CLARICE
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English, French
Pronounced: kla-REES (French),
KLER-is (English)
From the Late Latin name Claritia, which was
derived from Latin clarus "clear, bright, famous".
Last night in my dream I was in this fantastic sailing craft, this machine
that was flying quickly over this mysterious land that I've never seen.
Over sea bluffs, and valleys, and magical creatures. Then we went upward,
quickly upward. As we were just reaching the limits of the exosphere
where it all gets brilliantly dark, something went wrong and the whole contraption just plummeted straight down toward the earth.
Reminiscing on a dream of old
Milton Burle (random) gave me some
pearls of wisdom, "give God what is owed, the majority and
essence of life is to acknowledge and interface with other
human spirits...negate competition..see, really see other
spirits and love" Weird....coool

For my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down.
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho'
We are not now that strength which in the old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal-temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
~Tennyson

Impermanence is all present..all important.

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. - Jiddu Krishamuurti

On Travel:Travelling. No other way exists for me, no single act or engagement that has brought me closer to actualization, total selfless love, departure of ego, and desire. The act of traversing foreign lands. To feel the shock of the experience of movement through the lives of those with whom the earth is shared, to partake in custom and meet the gaze of foreign eyes, nothing moves me more.

I'd like to meet:

since he won't post my cheesy cellphone pics, i guess i have to, mi amigo mejor...someone else summed him up better than i ever could, "Spontaneous Pandemonium mixed with some structured fun and euro fashion.":

if i could have a sit down with one single
person from the present, who would it be?
it would be such a trip, hawking sees things in a
universal context, his mind working in ways i hope
mine will.
"We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special." - S Hawking

The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas & see a work of art?
Or, sit in silence & hear a song that's never been written?
Or, gaze at a red planet & see a laboratory on wheels?
While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
"Because the people who are crazy enough to think they
can change the world, are the ones who do."
